Last Day...

Well...it's here...the last day of our fabulous summer vacation. I have had a wonderful summer with my husband. We haven't done anything "special" but it's still be great! Both of our classrooms are ready to go and we've both already been to our schools several times in the last 2 weeks...I'm just ready to get it over with! The starting back that is. I am looking forward to a great year!

So...weekend recap...

Friday night we enjoyed staying home for supper and visiting with my momma. The salad turned out fabulously! Saturday we were lazy for most of the morning. We finally got ready and decided to go do a little Christmas shopping. I got 3 gifts so that's a good start for me. I have to start buying now or our funds won't allow us to get people the things we want. Also, it helps prevent having to run up a credit card bill. We then went and ate Mexican (my favorite) for supper and went to my "new" classroom and hung the curtains that I made. (The curtains I made with Wonder Under and my iron!) I am so incredibly thankful for my husband who has unselfishly worked so hard to help me with my room. I never could have did all that without him. He's great!

Yesterday, we went to church and then my momma cooked lunch for us. That was a first! If you know my mother you know that she NEVER cooks unless it's a must. The lunch was so delicious! We had minute steak, mashed potatoes, corn, fried okra, butter peas, rolls, and homemade lemon pie. Yum-O! Then I came home and got ready to go to a baby shower for a sweet, sweet friend. We are so thrilled for Joey, Melissa, and little baby Owen! I can't wait to hold him! She got some precious little things at the shower! While I did that Jamison went and ran some errands for me. Last night was church again and then we went to Cracker Barrell with some friends from church. We had a great time! We absolutely LOVE our church family and it's always good to spend time with them!

Sooooo...that's our weekend. I plan to spend today finishing up laundry, being lazy, playing with Ellie, and basically doing nothing!

To all the teachers out there...enjoy these last moments!!!
